Convince Husband that Credit Card Float is BAD?!

I guess what this comes down to is I have to somehow convince my husband that living on next month's income is GOOD. Currently, we are doing the opposite. We're living on next month's income via the credit card float. However, we're paying it off each month. So my husband figures that there is no problem.

I thought that this video was helpful, as was this article, But neither really goes into detail as to why we shouldn't be living on the credit card float if we're supposedly doing "just fine." I can think of a handful of reasons off the top of my head, however, whenever I try to explain them, I look like I'm the crazy, paranoid person.

Because we pay it off in full, he believes (whole-heartedly) that we don't live "paycheque-to-paycheque." He pictures paycheque-to-paycheque people as the ones that get paid, spend all their money, have no money left to do anything until the next paycheque arrives. So he thinks that he doesn't really need to say "No" to something (it can go on the card) until payday, that we're not living paycheque-to-paycheque. But in reality, it's usually just me being super cheap and having lots of arguments with him to avoid spending money so that I know we can pay off our credit card in full when the bill comes around.

Can anyone suggest any articles or videos as to why it's good to get off the credit card float and to start living off last month's income? He thinks that as long as we're putting money into an emergency fund (ie, making "payments" to it), all is well. I've got to try and sell this idea to him. :)
